Tianyun Gao: Software Engineer

Tianyun Gao is a business systems analyst who has been employed at several companies, including Cloudeeva, an IT firm based in New Jersey that specializes in cloud technology.

Tianyun Gao has also been a software engineer at Cloudeeva. In that capacity, Tianyun Gao reviewed and reproduced online C# reports, checked debugging references in C# code for on-air messages, assisted back-end developers for reviewing and debugging C++ code for network communications in back-end systems, and developed Oracle schema objects and Query real time data using complex queries on Oracle/MS SQL Server to for 
network management.

Tianyun Gao attended the University of Bridgeport in Bridgeport, Connecticut, where she studied Electrical Engineering, Alternative Energy, Distributed Systems, and Network Security. She was a member of the Society of Women Engineers, and had a student membership in the American society for Engineering Education. Tianyung Gao was a volunteer at the ASEE conference in 2009, where she assisted in guest reception at the University of Bridgeport’s Wahlstrom Library.

As a business systems analyst at Canon USA, Tianyun Gao reviewed and reproduced ASP code of web applications for the Mercury system, to be used for Canon business customers
for product item and model number registration and disclosure. She developed the Canon Mercury Back-end systems for data transferring between Canon America’s Mercury system in the United States,
and Canon Inc.’s Master Mercury system in Japan, using C++ and Pro*C.

Tianyun Gao also developed an Oracle database using MS SQL/Oracle PLSQL of Mercury System for data storage of Canon products with 
detailed item and model number information, and data migration among Mercury and other Canon IT systems. She produced UNIX bash/corn shell scripting to do back-end process operation, system resources checking, and Autosys job 
scheduling, and carried out batch data loading, performance tuning and reporting using Perl.
